I been up to date with Kimimaru's progress with the night system. Right now they are still fixing it which is good. But, today I came across some information. Here is a quote

yeah, good idea. The night filter doesn't look that good to me, it does not look night.
Response :(this is from Zetta Monkey).

most graphics cards can only handle a max of 8.

8 what?
Quote
yeah, modern graphics cards have a max of 8 dynamic lights
Quote
so that's why you cannot make the night mode look darker and more realistic?
Quote
no, you can change the argb values. Where A has to do with intensity.

Actually, we've halted progress on fixing the night system.

The main problem with recreating the night system is that we're not too experienced with DirectX 8. If we switched to it, we'd have to recode the game using it, and we're not that skilled with it yet. We'll have to get more experienced in it before we can actually do that, and I'm not sure when that will happen.

Thanks for the information, though!

Was the night system running smoother earlier, or was it just my connection?

Yes, actually. Because of our countless game optimizations, the game now runs so much better than it used to in night time. However, it's still too laggy during night time to have fun when playing.
