My friend was trying to play it with me but this is what happened:
I made sure he ran all the patchers and library installers and stuff as admin. The buttons and input boxes are disaligned so he has to guess where the login button actually is.

Hey Penguin,
I think we saw this once before, but we weren't sure why it occurs. Is your friend able to get online without any errors?
Also, is it just the login screen that experiences the issue, or is it all screens?

I'm pretty sure it occurs on all screens, not just the login one. It mainly disaligns his toolbar tabs on the right such as special attacks and stuff.

This may be because of your friend's pc's Resolution. Sometimes, programs need a certain pc resolution (Or multiple) to be played.

I asked him about it earlier today, and he splits it between his laptop monitor and his TV screen, but even if he doesn't split his screen it still disaligns strangely.

Hi Penguin,
Could you please provide some additional information regarding your friend's configuration? What is the size of his laptop monitor, and what is the screen resolution on it?
If he has any anti-viruses enabled, try disabling them and then playing SMBO again. Anti-viruses sometimes block SMBO components, which can lead to very strange behavior, such as what your friend is experiencing.

screen res is 1920 x 1080, which is the same as one of my other friends who doesn't have any problems with SMBO.

Hi Penguin,
Sorry for the late reply. Did your friend try disabling his anti-virus? I would say to do that and then reinstall the library files. Afterwards, he should try running SMBO again.

This has happened to me with my fangame along time ago. My friend had this exact problem. As far as I can remember, the fix involves making your display smaller. Like this: I hope this helps!

Hi WK67,
Thank you for the information! On my computer, the bar is set closer to the "Larger" size by default, and SMBO displays fine on my computer, but this is definitely something that Penguin's friend should try out. It's possible that he changed the default item size on his computer.
Penguin, could you please have your friend try WK67's proposed fix?
Thanks, and Happy New Year!
