We're really sorry for the inconvenience; the problem was actually on our side. I checked the server and there was a problem, so I'll be restarting it now. If it's not up for either of you in 30 minutes then please let me know.

Well I'm very sorry to say I was installing everything all over again just now to try it, and now I am getting fatal errors in the patches when I run the patcher. It says a different number every time I try it, mostly between 69 and 70

I just ran the patcher over and over again until I didn't get it and it patched.

I'm glad you were able to get on! Enjoy SMBO!

Well I'm very sorry to say I was installing everything all over again just now to try it, and now I am getting fatal errors in the patches when I run the patcher. It says a different number every time I try it, mostly between 69 and 70

Sometimes the patcher errors up. In this case, do the following:

1. Open the "Patcher" folder in the game folder
2. Right-click the "patch.file" file and choose to open it with Notepad or another text editor
3. Change the number to 68, save the file, and run the patcher again

This changes which patch the patcher thinks you're at, allowing you to obtain patches that you may have failed receiving. If you manage to get all the remaining patches doing this, then you should be able to log onto the game!

Let me know if this works and/or if you experience any further problems.

well I did that and it ran some stuff, but errored out on a lot of other patches in the 40s and 50s. Now if I try to run the game it's run time error 481

Did you get any errors the first time you installed the game? At this point my suggestion would be to keep setting the patch number back whenever a patch errors until all the patches are successfully downloaded. If you feel the process is not working, I suggest reinstalling one more time.

If that doesn't work, we'll have to setup a remote session so I can more easily help with the issue.

Yes, essentially. Since you already have all the Library Files installed, you should just need to run the patcher again.

sorry I've been busy and haven't had the time to give it another good go.

Everything worked this time, except the server status is stuck on "checking"

Right now the server is offline so you won't be able to get on. Sorry for the inconvenience.

How long do you wait before it's done? It usually takes a little bit to recognize the server is on when it's on.
