I just copied and pasted the old thingies onto here and removed that old topic as well. I'm hosting another HnS tourney, and hopefully we'll get enough participants to pull through! THIS WILL OCCUR DURING WINTER BREAK, SO IF YOU'RE AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME PLEASE SIGN UP! I'm just trying to get ahead in scheduling so it's not a mess later.
Yea, basically there's gonna be a hide n sneak tourney since the PvP one was a bust. Here's how it'll go:
Game follows normal rules, 1 seeker for up to 3 hiders, max is 7 people per round (2 seekers, 5 hiders). if there are 4-5 hiders, then there are 2 seekers.
SCORING:
Hider-
Your team wins but you were found: 2 points.
Your team wins and you weren't found: 4 points.
Your team loses: 1 point
Seeker-
Points awarded = number of hiders you found.
The tourney consists of each player participating in 8 rounds. Tiebreakers will be held like this:
2 person tiebreak-one person randomly becomes the seeker, and the other, the hider.
3 person tiebreak-1 seeker vs 2 hiders
4 person tiebreak-1 seeker vs 3 hiders, but there's a catch. Even if the hider team wins, anyone who was tagged loses. If there's 3 hiders, it goes into a 3-person tiebreak. 2-2 person tiebreak with the hiders. 1-2 person tiebreak with the remaining person and the seeker. If only the seeker or the hider remains, then the last hider hides with the seeker, and the second-to-last player will be the seeker in a 3-person tiebreak. The 4th person loses.
5 person tiebreak-2 person and 3 person tiebreak takes place and from there it goes to a 1vs1 tiebreak.
To enter simply put only your character name that you wish to enter!

Yea, it's in the BBK. If you haven't gone there yet or played HnS, I strongly suggest doing so before the tournament so you can have a good hiding place picked out.

I'm thinking that HnS will require a different type of tournament aside from just who wins and who loses (and corresponding point values). As a Hider your performance is binary; you either get caught or you don't. However, the Seeker has more performance values: you can catch no Hiders or catch up to 5 hiders. This should definitely be factored into the scoring system.

Entering with TheQuickster, availability permitting. If you need to sort based on Speed, I have 35 max, IIRC.

Speed won't necessarily be a factor, because I can easily replenish SP with limes while running. I'll try to reconfigure the scoring system to be more accurate and fair.

So this tournament will occur in the winter break right? Well I suggest the exact day would be in a Sunday if it's possible of course. After all even if we'll be in winter break weekends are still the best days to have as many people as expected for the minimum number of participants required.
I'll use my main character, MasterMario97 (obvious right?).

It might be on 2 different days, because the amount of time I can spend per day on the computer is limited. Sunday is a possible date, so I'll consider it. Now that we have 3 players, hopefully some more attention to this will start to form! I'm hoping to have at least 9-10 players for this tournament.

Don't worry about not being able to find it, it's in the middle of the new town area, which is pretty easy to find.
