I've brought this up with Kimimaru before, but I have to ask it here now. Exactly, what is the storyline of SMBO? I know that Kimimaro answered that its fighting Bowser, but there's multiple points that bother me about that. Exactly what has Bowser done? As we have seen, Princess Peach is still in her castle, unharmed. We've gone from fighting Bowser's Minions to emerging into the Beanbean Kingdom, which, if I recall, Bowser had no real control of, nor did he have any Minions there. Also, something else confuses me. What relivance does Jokes End have as a tutorial area? How did everyone get there? What possible reason would there be for that? Also, Kinopio Village. Kinopio is the Japanese name for Toad. So is Kinopio Village a fake Toad Town off the beaten path?

Myself, off the top of my head, I can think of a few plot twists that could lead up to something:

1: LE GASP! The Princess in the castle is an imposter! The real Peach has been replaced for some dasterdly purpose.

2: The players were already on a quest, managed to track down (Enemy/Villian), who then trapped them in Jokes End, erased their memory of recent events, and fled.

3: Bowser has teamed up with an unseen villian of Beanbean Kingdom, and is planning something dastardly.

4: The PLAYERS were kidnapped this time, and now must figure out why, how, and what happened.

5: Kinopio Village is a very secretive town that, in fact, hides a dark secret...

(Edited to add about Kinopio Village)
Anyways, feel free to post your own thoughts on this matter.

I don't exactly remember who, but someone also asked about the story, and Kimi replied saying that he wrote a storyline for it but never included it ingame. Most of your questions could probably be answered quite easily... I remember kimi supplied an answer of why it's called kinopio village. I don't know exactly why Joke's End is the tutorial, but it was intended that you coul eventually visit the area later in the beanbean kingdom... that is if kimi ever releases a new area, which is extremely unprobable.

I highly doubt that Kimimaru and Hydrakiller4000 would let SMBO die after Beanbean Kingdom, Peng.

You make it sound so...dramatic, lol. I'm referring to the results from the BBK developer interview, which I'm supposing you haven't seen yet.

I've seen the interviews on the Forum. Haven't seen any recent one's though. But hey, most of my friends can tell you that I see conspiracies in pretty much everything.

This is the storyline for SMBO:

"Bowser has unleashed his wrath upon the Mario universe! As the hero, the player must travel throughout the world, meeting friends, collecting items, and solving puzzles to defeat the menacing Koopa King!"
