Patcher error

I tried to open SMBO via the patcher, and it said, as follows:
Patch list parse error (0 - 2 are reserved patch numbers), around <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">"

Another similar error happened the other night, but this one has happened multiple times; seems to me that there's some file missing that's preventing the patcher from starting up/running correctly.

I'm familiar with that problem; another player told me about it on MSN. However, we haven't added, removed, or changed any of the files that would alter the performance of the patcher, so my best advice is to reinstall SMBO, sorry.

We have managed to fix this! Until we release the next update, players will have to manually install this fix. It's very simple, though. Here we go:

1) Open up the Super Mario Bros. Online folder
2) Find a file named "jikpatch" and open it up
3) In the file, you should see this:

patch_site = fileden.com

4) Change that to this:

Quote

patch_site = www.fileden.com

5) Save the file

Now everything should work like it's supposed to! We're very sorry for this inconvenience.

Oh, it was no biggie anyway, I can still log in by starting the actual program rather than the patcher. I'll just have to reinstall if the problem persists after the update.
