when i put in C:\windows\syswow64 it says this comand is not recognized liky thing.I cant say the full error because my laptop is translated to brazilian cauz im form south america!
Reason of problem:Windows 8.1
Hi Vitor, Does your user account on Windows 8.1 have administrator privileges? If not, please try to obtain administrator privileges on your account or use an administrator account. If the VBMP.ocx file is not in C:\windows\syswow64, please copy it to that location then try again. You can find VBMP.ocx in the "Data" folder within your Super Mario Bros. Online folder. Can you please try using Google Translate ( https://translate.google.com) for the error message? We can help you more effectively if we know the errors that you're receiving. I hope that helps!

Great to hear from you, ckrules! Thank you for leaving this note; it brought back some great memories of playing Steal the Shroom and completing the Daily Event with a big group of other players! I'm glad you enjoyed SMBO; it means we did our job. But it's really players like you that made it such a great game.
It seems you're doing very well, and I wish you all the best in college and the future. Come back and visit every once in a while!

Patch 76 is failing to download. Is there a problem with it?[/color]
im having a ...similar issue...when i download the game a window appears and it asks to save or open...then i click save...then a duplicate appears...then i click open then internet explorer opens for half a second then closes...what do i do? Hi phill987, If you are downloading the Super Mario Bros. Installer, then save it to your computer, move it to a directory such as Desktop, extract it using WinRAR or 7zip, and then run the installer (.exe) file. Here is a forum post with detailed instructions regarding downloading and installing SMBO: http://www.smf4free.com/forums/supermariobrosonline/index.php/topic,1244.0.htmlPlease let us know if you are still experiencing any issues.

The way I see it at this point is that maybe it's time to get some new people on-board the development team.
^I don't think this is an option. After talking with Kimi before they would prefer that the project is their own work and as such it holds lots of memories for them.
While SMBO was still being actively developed, we mentioned that we were not interested in bringing anyone else onto the development team. While SMBO holds a lot of sentimental value to me and Kimi, we also made this decision because we felt the general feel of SMBO would not be quite the same if someone else were to take it on. I'm sure there are plenty of great level designers out there, but each one has his/her own style, and not every one of them has the depth of knowledge about the Mario universe that Kimi and I have. The latter point is very important, because just about all of SMBO's concepts were inspired in some way by a concept in an official Mario game.

Hi Razz,
This post means a lot to us! I'm very glad that you enjoyed SMBO and want it to be the thriving community it once was. I saw this post a few days ago but forgot to reply, so I apologize for the late response.
Kimimaru and I still do keep an eye on the forums. We check them every couple of days and also make sure that the server is still running. The computer running our server is now about 6 years old, so as you can imagine it is starting to experience some minor issues. I pushed out an update a few days ago so that you can connect to the game. The IP address of the server has changed again. Sorry about that!
I would gladly support any in-game events, but I wouldn't be able to organize them myself. Kimimaru and I are now working full-time, so that limits the time we can spend on SMBO. However, we will try our best to support anything you guys organize!
In-game events may be the best way to get more people onto SMBO. We can create new items for you, but creating other types of new content would be more challenging for us, as it is more time-consuming.
