I don't know how long it has been since I played this game thoroughly, it must be at least over 5 years now (I didn't join the forum until way later).
Oh how long has it been. I remember back when playing it the first time with my brother there was that one day we were not able to use the computer and we couldn't get the game out of our heads! xP

That green is painful to read.

We can create new items for you, but creating other types of new content would be more challenging for us, as it is more time-consuming.
The way I see it at this point is that maybe it's time to get some new people on-board the development team.

Well, you can help make this happen if you are a programmer!
Aside from the one main programer, Teawater, it is surprising that no one else has come in to majorly help with the program after, what, six years?

There is one minor mod that has Plus added to the title of the game made by jdaster64, pretty much it balances out the games and makes it a bit harder, but that's about it for hacks.

Hey, I may not know you, but welcome back regardless!

And well... surprisingly neither Kimi, Hydra, or even Penguin or I haven't been on in a week. Usually one of us are around. ;P

Hello SSM64, welcome to SMBO!

I figure I'd give this program a bit more publicity by posting about it. As I've been around it for two and a half years, I can tell it lacks the attention it deserves. ;P

Yoshi Magic is a WIP editor for all three M&L games (and soon to be four when more things get known about 3DS games), it's main support is currently only Superstar Saga though. Although researched information on the PiT and BiS have been posted, nothing for them has been coded in yet. The link to Yoshi Magic is here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/Lighthouse_of_Yoshi/topic/7433189/1/#new
As you can tell the creator(s) don't mind assistance in help for making the program, as it is open sourced. As there is only one main developer, who goes by the name Teawater, the progress has been rather slow, unfortunately. So the project is pretty much at hiatus right now at this point because he needs a break after working on it for so long by himself (I'm no programmer. Sad). You can feel free to head over and help out, or give some motivation if that's the most you can do. Wink

The editor currently has these features:
 • Text Editor
 • Item Editor
 • Enemy Editor
 • Bros Attacks
 • Battle Editor
 • Battle Maps
 • Party Editor
 • Script Viewer
 • Room Properties (e.g. Tile editing, warps, etc)
 • Sprite Viewer
 • Screen Viewer

Half of these features are still in beta, so you will have to download a beta version for all features listed.

Lilac (the purple one) plays a bit like Sonic.
Carol (green cat) play like a bit like some Mega Man character (so I've heard)
And Milla plays a bit like... who knows (no one?).

Every character has their own playstyle, so as I said you won't be playing the levels the same at all with any character.

On an unrelated note, I've produced at least 4 guaranteed purchasers for this game, and still 5 other checkouts people to go. Tongue

Hello, welcome to SMBO! I'm glad to hear you like my forum designing. Smiley

The game has a demo, try it!

Freedom Planet is an indie game developed by Galaxy Trail. It takes inspiration from 90s platformer games, but is in no way a copy-cat of any specific one of them. It has its own unique style. If you love platformer games, you'll for sure want to pick this up! It has, adorable characters, awesome OST, and voice acted cutscenes (optional)! This game brings a good challenge that you'll for sure love (Especially hard difficulty, I can't even count the amount game overs on two hands for a certain late game boss. Tongue). This game will provide you with hours of fun for sure. Play another character after you've already played one, and you won't be playing the levels and bosses the same with that character as you did with you previous chracter choice. All characters have a different playstyle, and bosses have various attacks. It's unfortunate this game lies under the mainstream radar despite how good it is. This game has an average user rating on GameSpot of 9.5/10!
I myself was skeptical at first if I should wait for this game to go on a Steam sale (Steam is optional) before getting it, boy I'm sure glad I didn't! Ever since I layed my hands on this game, I have loved every moment of it! No regrets in the immediate purchase ($15 USD). Well what are you waiting for? Try the demo out if you don't already own it!
This is a must try for any platformer fan!

tl;dr: Like retro platforms with its own unique style. It's awesome!
May I just say at the time this game was on kickstarter (that was long ago) it got funded by over 1250%? Shocked
No one asked me to advertise it like this. I just like the game so much that I just had to share it!

If anyone else owns this game, I guess you can post your Time Trial times here if you like.

Edit: I did a speedrun (my first speedrun of any game ever!)

You missed something vital on April 1st Razz. ;P
Worry not about the ponies, they only came very late at the end of the day where pretty much no one saw them.
I'm think I should make a separate board specifically for the Revival Project since it may be more reliable than the Skype group.
Instead of a totally new forum (I think that is what you meant by that), create a new area here, and put everyone working on it in a group called Revivalist (or something like that, up to you really), and give that group permission to view that area.
