screen res is 1920 x 1080, which is the same as one of my other friends who doesn't have any problems with SMBO.

I asked him about it earlier today, and he splits it between his laptop monitor and his TV screen, but even if he doesn't split his screen it still disaligns strangely.

I'm pretty sure it occurs on all screens, not just the login one. It mainly disaligns his toolbar tabs on the right such as special attacks and stuff.

My friend was trying to play it with me but this is what happened:

I made sure he ran all the patchers and library installers and stuff as admin. The buttons and input boxes are disaligned so he has to guess where the login button actually is.
35  Super Mario Bros. Online / Game Help / Re: Windows 8 with eclipse? on: December 15, 2014, 06:12:11 pm
It's still stuck on the connection thingy.

The same thing happens for other eclipse MMOs as well.

For the library files installer, I ran both the windows 7 one and the one in the original game download. The 6th file from the bottom is not copied for some reason on the slim installer.

For the windows 7 one, I get an error if I don't run as an admin but none if I do.

EDIT: Ahha, I fixed it. Apparently having my locale set to Japan was messing it up, but now it works. Too bad I have to sacrifice my touhou 12.3 for it Sad

Hmm, now it gets stuck on "server status: checking..." and won't let me log in.
37  Super Mario Bros. Online / Game Help / Windows 8 with eclipse? on: December 14, 2014, 04:31:46 pm
Does eclipse need any extra special things for windows 8? The SMBO server doesn't connect for me. Is it offline or do I need to install some extra thingies for win8?

EDIT: Never mind, I just went on my old desktop with win7 and the servers were down on there too.

First thing is you have to have an account on the forums.

Then go to the beta testing section and you'll find it.

I try and check the forums at least twice a week if not more.

Was on yesterday, actually. Just lurking.

So many new people; I'm REALLY tempted to go back and play now.

ofc, I've already gotten through to the last area so many times that I don't know if I really want to. I also hate that long period of farming in FH which tends to happen to me around levels 15-30 or 15-25
41  General / General Chat / Re: Yoshi Magic (M&L Editor) on: September 04, 2014, 07:54:32 pm
I was messing around with this a couple years back.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any full-blown M&L:SS hacks yet.

I feel like Razz would really like this. He's a pretty big fan of sonic and in general platformers IIRC.

Looks like sonic but with a few different mechanics. Was never a huge fan of platformer games, but nonetheless, it looks fun.
44  Super Mario Bros. Online / Game Help / Re: SMBO always offline? on: August 02, 2014, 04:16:09 pm
Are you running it as an admin on your computer? If you aren't an admin then lots of stuff won't work.

To make sure you're running it as an admin, right-click on the client and select "Run as Administrator"

IP Config button was disabled a while ago.

I'll suppose you've already read the stickied post on general troubleshooting since it's in the same subforum, but if you haven't... http://www.smf4free.com/forums/supermariobrosonline/index.php/topic,1244.0.html

If you start from scratch and follow those directions exactly, but still experience the connection error, then you should ask Kimi or Hydra.
