Hello Marioman640, considering you didn't encounter any runtime errors nor any problems with the patcher, I'd say your client is fully set to play, so I don't feel it's necessary to send any files just yet. I believe Penguin mentioned that he also cannot log on, despite the website saying the server is up.

I will look into this issue in a few hours since I'm not able to do so now. Chances are I'll need to restart the server or release a new patch with an updated IP address if the server computer's IP changed. Thanks again for being patient!

EDIT: The server encountered an error and I restarted it. You should be able to play now!

Hello Marioman640, sorry to hear about your problem logging on. Is your computer's language set to English - US? In the past, users had issues with logging on when their system language was something else since the game is built in an old engine and is not localized. Thanks for your patience!

Hello Razz, sorry that you experienced this issue. hydra and I don't know exactly what causes this issue, so I cannot say for sure what will or will not work. In the past, everyone experiencing this issue restarted their computers and the issue no longer persisted. It was such a common problem that we wrote down the solution in the Bugs & Errors List packed with the game.

I'd suggest restarting your computer and seeing if that fixes this issue. Please let me know if that solves your problem!

There shouldn't be a problem with that particular patch. Try resetting the patch number by opening the "patch" file in the "Patcher" folder, changing the number inside to 75, then running the patcher once again.

If so, you should register for a new account, then login with your newly created account. Next you should create a character and use that character to start playing the game.

Make sure you're running SMBO as an administrator. Also try disabling your firewall and anti-virus. Lastly, if you're using a new computer ensure that the UAC is disabled.

Hello Penguin! The server for SMBO is back up, so now you can test if it'll work on your Windows 8 computer. hydra and I have successfully ran SMBO on Windows 8 before, so if you need any further assistance don't hesitate to ask!

Hello efeemmi, sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem. Please register dx7vb.dll:

1. Open up the cmd as an Administrator
2. Type "cd C:/Windows/Syswow64" without the quotes and press Enter
3. Type "regsvr32 dx7vb.dll" without the quotes and press Enter

You should receive a message stating if it was successful or not. If successful, try logging onto SMBO again. If you received an error message or still cannot get on SMBO, please post here again detailing the message.
