Hey everyone! Your eyes aren't deceiving you; we're going to have a Dodgebill Tournament!

Requirements:
-Must have access to the Mushroom Kingdom Arcade
-Must play an active role in your team
-Must be online during the time of the tournament

RULES:

The leagues are as follows:

2v2 League
-Those who trust their own skills in Dodgebill may be interested in this

3v3 League
-Those who prefer teamwork may be interested in this

Please note that there aren't any 4v4 or 5v5 leagues because they will use up too many players per match.

Each match in the tournament will consist of one game each. We will start with Match 1 of the 2v2 League and make our way down. No stalling or Bullet Bill hogging is allowed! "Stalling" is defined as holding onto a bullet bill so the other team can't score. "Bullet Bill hogging" is similar, except your team is working together to stall so the other team can't score. Additionally, no spamming Special Badges to mess up the other team, and no dropping items in the arena! You're more than welcome to cheer for your team on the sidelines using the Drill spots, but please don't change spots too often. Using SP restoring items is allowed.

If a player disconnects from the match, we will consider how well the team does without that player and may give that team a point advantage. This advantage will not be much at all, so don't log off right before the match ends just to win!

When: Friday, March 18th, 2011 at 3:30 PM Eastern (Time will change if it becomes unsuitable for most players)
Where: The Mushroom Kingdom Arcade
Reward: Something...good (once I can think of it)!

All winners will receive the same prize (unless you don't want it for some reason).

Please sign up on this thread. Mention which League, Match and Team you want to be on. Also mention which character you will use and what level that character is at; this information is required so we can fairly match up the teams based on run ability. If you want to change your Team, League, or Match, please let me know.

For example, if Team 1 in Match 1 consisted of two Level 60 Marios who both had the Speedy Dash badge, and Team 2 in Match 1 consisted of a Level 5 Wario (however he got to the Arcade at such a low level) and a Level 37 Toad, one member from each team will be moved to the other team. In this particular scenario you can argue that the teams are still unbalanced, but they are much more balanced than they were before.

Unfortunately, I don't think spectators will be able to watch for this tournament; however, hydrakiller4000 and I will keep everyone updated on the current score, time left, etc.

The winning team will go against another winning team from another match. If there is a tie, a few other matches will take place, then those two teams will go against each other again. If the teams tie again, we will look at which team had more points for the majority of both matches and declare the winner. This may seem unfair, but we don't want to delay the tournament too much. Second place awards will be given out as well!

Please do not be late to your match! This can harm the entire tournament, as exact numbers are required to play Dodgebill (2v2 needs 4 players, etc). If a match is almost complete and needs only one or two more players, then hydrakiller4000 or I will be forced to participate!

I might be able to if I have school off that day which I think I might.

Not sure if I can do this, as I get out of class at 3 EDST that time (presuming wherever Kimi is follows Daylight Savings Time).  Put me down tentatively for the 3v3 league as StacheMaster.

Please give me the levels of your characters. Also if you're in the 3v3 League, you'll go after the 2v2s, so if you won't be able to make it right when the tournament starts you might be there in time for your match.

The teams for Match 1 in the 3v3 League have been balanced.

Note: Since we have very few teams so far, each match may consist of three games each (two if one team wins both times).

srry kimi the time is right in the middle of my school day unless the tournament takes 4 hours before my match or if the time is changed I can't enter the tournament so if none of these things happen, I'm sad but ur gonna hafta move me off of the listT_T

Yahoo! Count me in!!! i'm lvl.59 going in to lvl.60, 2vs2 please, i work rather well on my own, but i'm friendly of course. Oh, can i be team one? :)

Attention: If we do not get enough players for Match 2 in the 2v2 League, everyone will be moved to the 3v3 League. I'm sorry, but doing this would make the tournament more exciting. Additionally, the teams in the 2v2 League will have to win only 1 match to receive the prize, which I belive is unfair.

We'll be having some other tournaments then, but if this one goes well we might have another.

Perhaps you could make the 2v2 league play a best-of-3 or 5 instead of single matches?

Why not hold 2 events in seperate times of the day, the 2v2 league and the 3v3 league, then people could join both leagues and we would have more players participating in each league, also it would let a second chance at gaining a prize
