Title: Wise hunting
Post by: Randy on March 11, 2012, 11:33:07 pm
The only reason why this is up is because of the long grind I did on coconutter, only to resultto fustration. Your opinion would really matter to my next move.

It really depends on your type of personality. To me, buying cards off of people is more for the sense of getting the card, while getting it yourself brings a feeling of achievement and the fact you're a collector, lol.

Honestly, I can hunt for 6 hour's straight, BUT all factor's must be notified to me to see if a boss is worth hunting, so I can really do it either by defeat or buy. But mostly defeat. For example, A red coconutter is MORE of a buy-card, while General guy (For toad's) is more a Hunting card.

Red Coconutter's really the easiest of the boss cards to get by a longshot, as they respawn so quickly.  If you're equipped to deal with them, I wouldn't bother buying one of those.  The rest have pretty low drop rates, and can conceivably take dozens (or hundreds) of attempts to get.

Then there's the people, like me, who don't care about cards at first, until they're training and cards start spawning relentlessly. Then you get them without realizing it.

Honestly, and this is my opinion here, but you should keep at least 1 copy of each card you collect. The reason behind this being that you can then transfer the cards and register them on alts and get the Card Shop rewards on them. Then its pretty much you're discretion weither or not to transfer the rewards to your main character or not.
