Title: Randy's Card shop
Post by: Randy on March 11, 2012, 07:12:14 pm
I'm gonna make a shop that all of you can contribute to, if you help me get a card for my NEW character that i'm gonna make, i'll give you a handsome reward...*ahem* all depending on the card of course. For example, if you just get a lakitu card for me, the best you can get is 250 coin's and 5 dim star piece's. If you get a boss card like a Coconutter card, I'll give you 5000 coin's AND 50 Dim star piece's! So basically, how well you help, determine's your reward. So if you want some treat's, Contribute!

P.S  I Don't want people to take card's from my character, so if your gonna give a card to the shop, put it to GOOD use beforehand. Please and thank you.

Hmm... I have some things cards that you COULD use if you are willing to buy duplicates. That's only if you plan this to be a mass store. Here's a list of cards I can sell/donate:

-26 Elite Guy Cards
-UG Koopa
-A few Paratroopas
-I have the boss cards, but I'm not really willing to give them up
-There are a few other cards I have, but I forgot most of them. I do believe I have some pirahna plants and pokeys too

Paratropa yellow, Piranaha plant, and pokey are what i will need for the time being. When you get the chance, hop on.

Also boss hunting would'nt hurt. If we do it, we target coconutter, unless you are gonna give it to me, but don't worry, i'll treat it with care IF you do.

Shrooblet's no problem to buy for me, I have RCC and DE koopa is easily within reach, but I'll be hounding round MK for a while to get the rest. Of course, I'd expect a lot for the RCC and DE koopa. Another suggestion is to have more than one of most cards, so that you don't have to constantly go out of stock.

Um, honestly, i'm not selling any of em. They can, however, be used to just register the card in their account.

I'd say that it'd be better to sell Hard Copies, or have people sell Hard Copies of cards to you.

Well it depend's on the buyer. They simply may want to register it, OR they really WANT it. I Cannot Sell em, only allow register. Beside's, Not very many people care about having the card's...From my reserch...but meh... :-\

Most people, myself included, don't charge anything to let people add non-boss cards to their collections.

Peng has a point there. Because with players doing that, you're already losing business. And when the Update comes, drop rates will also be boosted. So cards will drop more often then. So either way, you'll be losing Business.

Title: Re: Randy's Card shop
Post by: Randy on June 01, 2012, 12:02:11 am
Welp, ever since the update, I've managed to snag up JUST about all the card's, Except that pesky Rockade card....I know where it is, it's just hard to get to, and YES, it's not a drop card. Anyhow, As for the card business, I have a small, yet worthy ideal system. For now, if you need any card, simply call me, although, the price depend's on where you are. I Can't just let ppl get what they want for free, especially upon a rare card, But meh, this kind of thing might as well crush my boredom.

Hmm.. I suggest actually NOT using nuts unless you run out of ultra shrooms. This is because you can use f2 to automatically consume any HP-only recovery item, making ultra shrooms the best choice. Also, this just proves how hard and challenging the poison cave is; Randy is a toad, which specializes in max HP, and he still can't make it through. If you haven't figured out a solid method on how to get through the unlocking walls on the first-secone try, I suggest thinking about it and figuring it out. After that, you need to find a secret passage for both the bomb AND the gap, and from that point, it's just a matter of speed in order to complete the cave. Using mushroom-flower power or Speedy Dash is highly suggested, since you can either increase your max HP by 10 or gain an extra 5 speed, along with an additional 50 SP. Anyways, good luck on getting that card. The poison cave rewards are all definitely worth the trouble.

Lol, I didn't know about that keyboard shortcut; I made it through on about my tenth try (most of my deaths were due to rogue enemy spawns or me not knowing the cave layout) with 80 HP, 55 FP, eight nuts, and umpteen beanish limes.  I really don't think it's as impossible as everyone's making it out to be.

Title: Re: Randy's Card shop
Post by: Penguin4478 on June 01, 2012, 10:21:41 am
Well, yea, it's not particularly hard, but there are a few things you need to know before you actually plan on completing it:
1. How to get past the unlocking walls on the first try (There's an easy-to-remember order that you can hit the blocks in)
2. How to get past that area where it first seems like you need jugem's cloud
3. How to get to the bomb for the maze-ish area

Once you can figure out those things, you should be able to get through the cave with a little luck.

Surprisingly enough, I was actually able to get through the cave on my...2nd or 3rd try. This is mainly because I had speedy dash on, 19 speed with speedy dash, 120 Max HP, and 70 Max FP, which enabled me to heal A LOT, and to survive for a while, I imagine this cave can be quite tedious if you don't really have my stats, as, for some coincidental reason, they're aligned exactly to be able to beat the poison cave easily :O

I also noticed that I'm practically the only player who knows about the hotkeys? Here are the 2 basic hotkeys:
f2 automatically uses any HP-only restoring item that doesn't follow custom script. It won't work on items that heal HP and FP, nor on any items that follow script such as nuts or yoshi cookies
f3 automatically uses any FP-only restoring items. Follows the same guidelines as f2
I wish f4 would allow SP recovery, but that's not implemented yet. I suggest using these hotkeys for PvP, as you don't have to switch between your inventory and Sp. Attacks tab, nor click extra times in order to consume an item. The only main problem is that you can't use most cooked items, which are the best HP and FP restoring items overall, but using that quick-switch with ultra shrooms and jellies should be enough compensation.

Well, that's enough rambling; Back on topic!
I can lend you my rockade card if you need to add it, but I would like it back. I can also give you an armored turtle card, since I have 2.

HUH! I've been using nut's the entire time! That's egg on my face...I now know what I must do. Also, My heal Sp.attack barely heal's much, so it's pretty much useless. Oh also penguin, Since I loaned you a handfull of DE coin's awhile ago, please let me borrow whatever you bought in the shop. I'd be grateful  :)

sure, I'll lend it to you! It should boost your max SP by a lot, and the poison cave should be a lot easier.
