How many reborns are you all aiming for to take to the show? im on number two at the moment just rooting but its hard going with small 43 needles. Cry

Ive a long way to go im planing on around 10 if I can make it, New arrival its exciting though thinking about things for the table etc to make it look pretty.

Do you all get banners for your tables, if so where do you order them from I would like one with my nursery logo on
Seems like its a long time away yet but ive been told to be careful as it soon creeps up on you. Shocked  Shocked

Think I will prob learn alot from Peterborough in June that will be my first ever show, but any tips will be welcome from you experienced girls !!! your amazing

Yes - it soon creeps up  LOL 8 to 10 dolls will be ok for your first show hun, but remember to take small things to sell aswell, I always take old doll mags to sell for a £1.00, and some dummies, bottles etc, it all helps to make you more money  LOL
And for the banner or your name logo, mine is printed on material - you can buy the t-shirt print packs at stapels and print your logo on them on your printer then iron the printed logo on some material - much cheaper than bought ones  LOVe

Look forward to seeing you there

I could not work out how many shows I have done  LOL been doing Dolls & Minature shows since 1991 and I used to do 13 a year for a few years, I am only doing three Doll fairs this year so far.
And my success with sales - well I have been to some really bad fairs in the past, were there has been no one buying - Harrogate been the worst, never sold much there.
I always sick to the ones thats good for me, I would never go back to a place if I didn't make double my stand money.

A quick Thank you to everyone who has booked a table!!

I am the person who has organised the show, WE HAVE done lots of advertising, we have run adverts on ebay classifieds for the last 3 months, we also sell online which means we have posted 4000 approx leaflets in parcels all over the country! We have been in the last TWO editions of Hello Dolly Magazine advertising the event, we are also in this months Discover Dolls magazine.

As Clare said previously we have a shop at the centre so people who have been popping in to the shop have taken advertising with them We have also advertised in local newspapers and brochures!

If you also read the terms and conditions it says to advertise yourselves to let past customers know where you will be on the 19th September  Well done you x

As it is our first event we cannot anticipate how many atendees there will be, although ticket sales are doing well so far!

Tickets are on sale in my ebay shop, via telephone 01226 805099 and also in my forum ACORN, which i have run for the last 2 years.

Not sure if links are allowed so havent put any in  LOVe

Every show deserves a chance; It is just a case of getting the North on the map!!

We will be repeating the show next year regardless of whether people have good or bad sales......as I also exhibit at Peterborough twice a year I will also start taking advertising with me in October for next years Northern Doll Show; this year we have Wendy Graham from Wendys-babies presenting prizes to our competition winners, there are raffles for voucher prizes to spend on supplies or on a deposit for a reborn baby, doll kits and much more..... there is a mixed array of exhibitors, experienced and novice reborners, doll and baby clothes, knitters, doll house miniatures, we have booked all 50 tables but have an overflow of an extra 25 should we need them.

If anyone is interested in booking a table or buying a ticket please email us at sales@realistic-creations.co.uk

Thanks for listening and I hope its put peoples minds at rest who were worried about the advertising!!  Well done you x

Wow Helen that all sounds very exciting you have been a busy bee  Grin
It is great to have shows up this way and I love coming along and supporting new shows....infact I am  Sad that I cannot book a table myself but as Im away on holiday either the week of the show or the week before it just isnt poss this time arouns but I will be there even if it falls that we are away as we are only going as far as Skeggy so I've got it covered LOL LOL
I think the advertising has been great so far and dont forget that too add word of mouth to that list as sometimes its this kind of free advertising that works just as well.....when I was at Sutton last weekend I asked all the ladies I spoke to if they would be at Elacar and most said yes and one lady that had slipped the net and not heard of the show asked me to Email her the details, which I did and she has now booked Party Party Party
I can't wait for this show and look forwards to meeting you all soon LOVe
Sam xx

Dont suppose I can talk you into doing one even futher up north at Blackpool can I LOL LOL LOL

Hi Helen,

Looks like you have advertised really well - it should go great on the day,
I have told all my reborn buyers & put it on both my websites, and I am really looking forward to it, not long to go now.

I have been to some really bad small fairs were they have not even had a sign up on the door  Sad so I only go to the larger ones now.

I'll be there, and hope to meet some of you lovely ladies. I have an early ticket, as I am just a collector. I am so excited at the prospect of a show not too far from home

I am collecting three of helen's babies, so this makes it doublely exciting for me. Grin

Enid is the early ticket just the one you buy before the event or is it a special one that allows you in early, that wasnt mentioned when I enquired about them. LOVe LOVe
