As subscribers to Discover Dolls will be aware, we have proposed restrictions to the entry of large prams for dolls to the show until later in the day.
This is because we received two seperate reports of people being hurt by prams in the crowds, and also several complains by stall holders that they blocked stands etc.

One of the nicest things about the Peterborough show is showing off your own collection in prams, and so we have not taken the steps that most doll shows have taken, in banning them completely, we are just asking that you refrain from pushing them in the exhibition halls until after 2.30pm when I believe the crowds will have cleared and it will be safe.

We had proposed to have a pram room, in which prams could be left and looked after by us in the morning, but unfortunatly we will no longer be able to offer this, as my mother in law, who I am sure most of you remember, has to go into hospital on Tuesday for an operation and will not be able to attend the show. On top of that my Mum and brothers girlfriend Becky who do the door, also can't make it this time for personal reasons. Soooooo we are very short staffed!!

Please can you, if possible, leave your large prams in your cars, or maybe ask someone who has a room at the hotel to store it for you. Alternatively there is a small amount of space behind the reception where you can safely leave them during the crowded times. However space here will be very limited.

I am sorry to have to set these restrictions, but obviously when I have complaints that people have been hurt I need to take it seriously and put measures in place to reduce risk. I don't want the hotel to have to impose a complete ban on prams as this would impair the atmosphere of the show, so I need people to work with me and make sure that large prams do not pose a problem!

If bringing a doll to the show, now may be the time to start searching for baby Bjorn slings on eBay!!!

We will have the pram society exhibiting in the far hall, so there will be some beautiful prams to look at!

Thank you all for your understanding, and cooperation with this, and remember that in the afternoon you will be free to push your prams in the halls!

Sorry don't know what happened there but what I was trying to ask is, is this for stall holders or visitors in general.
We are coming from Reading for the first time with one the prime reasons being able to bring our babies in their prams (silver cross 3ds).

Please could you let us know.

LOVe  As I read it, its for everyone, I would imagine stallholders can have them behind/alongside their stalls but you cant push them around the rooms, it was rather cramped in June trying to get around the people never mind the prams, at least after 2.30 you will be able to. LOVe LOVe LOVe
